MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP
Formerly known as “Membership”, Trinity Church Ministry Partnership is the way we can provide believers with the opportunity to embrace their valuable status in the family of God and their calling to fulfill the great commission.
We decided to change the name from “member” to “partner” because we felt the word can sometimes be confusing and misleading. Say the word “membership” today, and many think of subscribing to a service or joining an exclusive club. This misunderstanding has led some to believe that the church needs to give and serve them. This is not the biblical image, however; it’s not about joining a club but a family who lives and behaves like Jesus.
At Trinity Church, Ministry Partnership is the dedicated commitment to partner with us and contribute to fulfilling the vision, mission, and purpose of the church, locally and globally. It is a willing submission to the goals, doctrine, values, leadership, and accountability at Trinity Church, all while embracing your role in the body of Christ.
While we affirm people’s freedom to engage in the local church at their own pace, we feel compelled to challenge believers to become active, committed participants rather than remaining passive observers and consumers. Your intentional participation in the local body of Christ is simply too important for your own health and the health of the body.
Our partnership process can be broken down into 3 courses.
1. 101 course– Ministry Partnership
2. 201 course– Spiritual Gifts
3. 301 course– A Life of Evangelism and Discipleship.
The pre-requisites to our ministry partnership process include: Active Life Group participation, New Believer’s Course completion (if new in your walk), and Baptism. We also hope that a consistent prayer life, church attendance, and tithing are valued priorities in your life.
The completion of our partnership process shows us you are ready and willing to step into your God-given calling and be entrusted with responsibilities, tasks, and opportunities that will greatly impact the work of the church. We no longer see you as a casual church attendee, but as someone who is committed and can be counted upon to fulfill the vision and mission that God has called us to. As a partner, we can now trust you to lead our ministries and step into roles and duties typically reserved for mature followers of Jesus.
This course is only offered 2 times per year. Attendance to each class is very important in order to complete the partnership process. This course is a requirement for anyone who desires to serve at a leadership capacity at Trinity Church. Use the form below to register for our next upcoming course.
